		<description><![CDATA[Mary Ann - yes, cook the chicken first.  I usually buy split chicken breasts when they are on sale and boil them for an hour or so.  Then I let them cool a bit and shred/cut the meat.  I usually get 3 or so meals out of 4 split breasts that way and it makes cooking other dishes during the week quicker as well.  More EASY recipes for chicken to follow!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rebecca - you have a point.  I have to omit the onions for both the boys although they make the dish sweeter overall.  I&#039;ve also left the celery out when in a bind and it was good as well.  I say the carrots are a must for that sweet, creamy taste but that is just my opinion.  I add mushrooms because I love them and my friend added cooked brown rice to hers.  I think you can play around with this a bit without messing up the integrity of the dish. The main ingredients for the filling really are the roux (flour and butter) and the broth and milk.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Good luck! Y&#039;all let me know how it turns out!]]></description>
