Have you ever been “fixing to” do something? That is a popular phrase here in the south. I heard someone define it as halfway between thinking about it and doing it. That is an interesting thought. I wondered how many times I have squandered away my dreams because I was fixing to do something.
I’ve been fixing to give this blog stuff a try for a while now. So today I stopped fixing to and finally did it!

Down in Texas (about as South as you can get!) it wasn’t fixing to….it was “fixin’ to!” And boy, we used that ALL the time!
