Fall Projects – I’m a Copy Cat!

Well you girls have kept me busy! It’s been fun, though. I had forgotten how fun crafting can be. My mom has always been very crafty. Isn’t it funny how we come back to what we know? This foyer table was styled with love in honor of all you fabulously creative women!

What about the spooky tree? It isn’t fully complete – it still needs a crow or something. I made that based on inspiration from Susie Harris. I opted to use a stem that I got at Silks A Bloom. The cute guys over there “threw it in” as a “gift with purchase”… I spend WAY too much money in there. Nice to get something for FREE now and again! You can’t really tell – the branches are thick and then it has orange and green buds on them. I decided it looked spooky enough for now. I really do want a crow in it, though.

See the bloody candles? I saw that in Martha Stewart magazine a year or so ago and have always wanted to do it. I bought the candle holders at Good Will for $0.60 total. Spray painted them black – isn’t that the bloggy thing to do? Then dripped red wax onto white pillars. I will probably redo them next year but they will work for the next couple of weeks!

A great big thanks to Amy for my loot from bunco last week. I won that cute basket including candy! I put it on a black wrought iron stand to add interest and height. I love bats, too! My neighbors had them in their attic – fun for me to observe but wouldn’t want them in MY house – ick!

I added a little dimension to our Halloween artwork. Don’t you love that cardholder that they are now hanging on? Those are on special this month if your are interested!
This project came from Joy - I swear that girl must never sleep. She always has something crafty and fun going on over there. I had fun with this one. Dollar Tree frame. Next I typed The Raven in small antique book font and printed on a grayish piece of card stock. Then I printed the big BOO over that. Trimmed and taped to the frame. And that is it!
I’ve seen lots of painted pumpkins so I didn’t get this idea from one single source. I really like how it turned out, too!
And I just had to give tassel making a try. That Nester is so clever! This was my first and it turned out pretty good. I made one for Amy and I liked it much better than the first. I have enough supplies to make 3 more for now. I’m sure I will like the last one the best. BBC really likes it, too. He keeps calling it my BEAUTIFUL PUMPKIN – ha!
Thanks for all the inspiration!!!
