Got Milkweed? Butterfly Project for Kids

We are working on planting some butterfly friendly plants this year. Hopefully we will have them planted in time for Kimba’s garden party next week! BBC has a butterfly life cycle book that he loves so I thought it would be fun to have more of these creatures around.
We have a local family magazine (Little Rock Family) that is a fabulous resource for local events. This month an article with the title Got Milkweed? caught my eye. You can read all about the decline in the Monarch population, why milkweed, and other details in the online article. I wanted to share with you how to get your own milkweed seeds from the Live Monarch Foundation.
“The foundation is making it easy for families and schools to help. Just send a self-addressed, business-sized envelope with a 44-cent stamp to receive seeds and instructions for raising milkweed and monarchs in your community. While the seeds are free, a suggested $2 donation will help cover packaging, printed information and program costs.”

Send to:

Let me know if you decide to do this and how it turns out! Happy planting!

I am going to tell my youngest daughter about this and see if we can get a summer project going together. We both love butterflies and hummingbirds, so this is right up our alley ;o)

I’ll let you know how it goes!

Even in the most sexually liberated and self-satisfied of nations, many people still yearn to burn more, to feel ready for bedding no matter what the clock says and to desire their partner of 23 years as much as they did when their love was brand new.
The market is saturated with books on how to revive a flagging libido or spice up monotonous sex, and sex therapists say “lack of desire” is one of the most common complaints they hear from patients, particularly women.
