I spent this past week in Las Vegas for a Southern Living at HOME Leadership meeting. It was my first extended stay in a desert area. I don’t know if I have ever craved water more than I did this week. One night I was feeling particularly parched and was having trouble locating water. We tried several vending machines. We put the money in several machines but couldn’t get the water to come out. Finally we found a machine that worked. I chugged that 20 oz bottle of water immediately. It was the best two bucks I spent the entire week. It was so refreshing.
Reflecting back on that moment reminds me that Jesus is our living water. How refreshing indeed!
Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14 NIV

Good object lesson.
I spent a few days in Las Vegas when I was about 6 months pg with my first. In July. Hubs had meetings all day, so I thought it would be brilliant to walk down the strip to see the lions in the MGM. I almost passed out on the sidewalk…too hot!!!!
