Woo Hoo! I guess because I’m a September baby I LOVE fall. I always spend my fall money on seasonal decor. Last year I bought a LOT of realistic gourds and pumpkins. Slowly but surely they have been popping up all over my home…
Like in this iron centerpiece in the dining room. I left the vines on there from spring, tucked a few leaves here and there and topped with a mix of gourds and pumpkins. This screams fall bounty to me.

So as an experiment I brewed an espresso coffee blend. Added a touch of cinnamon, a touch of organic brown sugar and a swirl of whipped cream sprinkled with cinnamon. Now don’t get me wrong – it was no pumpkin spice latte – but it was pretty tasty nonetheless.
Note: Black pepper often comes in the same looking container as cinnamon. I made this mistake again this morning. One of these days I’ll look before pouring. At least I noticed before tasting!

How are you celebrating the first official day of fall?

I just LOVE that centerpiece. It is beautiful and yes, it does scream fall!
Someone around here needs to let Mother Nature know fall has arrived. It’s in the 90′s…ugh. So ready for cooler temps.
Happy Fall Y’all!

I’m in Texas so I feel your pain! It’s ok, though. I can still drink a hot pumpkin spice latte and pretend it’s cold outside
Now I need to go to Starbucks!!!

I love your fall centerpiece! I am in North Carolina and I am celebrating the first day of fall by trying to stay inside and stay cool! We have had way too many ninety degree days this summer. I am looking forward to cooler days. Carla
