Work Hard. Play Harder.

In between all the hard work, we did manage quite a few fun moments…

Dreaming
(my faux nephews)

Eating
Rolando’s, of course!

Shopping
Now and Then Shoppe
LOVE this bed – even if it isn’t for sale.

This bedding gets me in the mood for spring!

Love this sign!

Laughing

I had to borrow socks one day. I didn’t pay much attention when putting them on in the morning so imagine my surprise when I took my shoes off at the end of the day to find this. Too funny!

Isn’t girlfriend time the best? It was a much needed break for both of us. We laughed so much that we cried several times. Oh and speaking of laughing, we went out for karaoke one night with a friend from high school, Ron Phillips-Hill. He’s on his way in the music industry. It was fun having a “ringer” with us.

As a mom I believe it is important to get away every now and again. I used to feel guilty about it but I find myself refreshed when I return. I know it makes me a better wife and mother when I take care of myself and allow these getaways. AND the boys seem to appreciate me a little more upon my return.

When is the last time you had a chance to “get away” even if just for a moment? How did you spend your time?

I think it’s so important for mommies to get away for a little refreshing time. For me, I think it makes me a better mom.

I love the faces on the socks.
