Steadily working on fall decor and hope to have something to post later this week.
So I thought I would pop in to share a quick tip…
I like to schedule tasks around the seasons. Everyone has heard of spring cleaning but why not share the love with the other seasons? I have found this very helpful and not as overwhelming. I also schedule reminders on either my calendar or cell phone to help me stick to the plan.
For example, I go through my spice and medicine cabinet twice a year – spring and fall. I’m a stickler for getting rid of anything that is expired. I also label my spices with a sharpie (month and year) when I open them to better track their age. I did this last week and purged 3 spices, pain medication, and some samples from our doctor.
So – have you purged in these two areas lately? If not, I’d be interested to see what you find! Do you schedule routines around the seasons?

I have gone through and thrown away many expired medicines….I wish I could say it was planned. I am stuck, sick at home. First with Strep Throat, and now I think with a Sinus Infection. I have gone through our medicine cabinet looking for anything that will help me breathe through my nose again (no luck…almost everything we had was expired! Plus, I don’t think it would do me much good anyway.) Hubby has gone to the store and re-stocked our medicine cabinet and nothing has helped me so far…so it’s back to the dr. I go. : ( Maybe sometime when I’m feeling better I’ll get to our spices : )

I like to stay on top of my spices and meds too! I have limited space so I do this very often.
I did my mother’s spice cabinet a couple of weeks ago and we through out a TON!
Great tips!

I love what you said about “spring cleaning” being for all seasons! So true! I need to go through my spices and meds! I bet I have tons that are expired! Are you done with that tassel yet?
