Back in the Saddle Again

Isn’t it crazy how much we miss our bloggy friends? As I mentioned in my last post I did a booth for four days over the weekend and I finally feel fully recovered and ready to get back in the saddle again – or at least in my office chair!

Some pictures aren’t turning out with flash and shadows – maybe I should work on my photography skills. Anyway I snapped a few that actually turned out so I will go ahead and share those with you to spread a little more fall cheer.

Let me preface these pictures with – our home is still very much a work in progress. I stay at home so we have to work within that budget. We’ve made huge leaps in updates in several areas and have several more to make hopefully sooner rather than later! That’s actually one of the main reasons I started this blog. It keeps me accountable on working on the house AND I love the ideas that we all share. I hope to have to some fun, budget-conscious projects to share very soon!

It wouldn’t be FALL without college football and the RAZORBACKS! Maybe we aren’t off to the best start this season but I’m a fan and I have to support ‘em regardless! I have a shelf in my built-ins dedicated to them. Check out that cute pumpkin – my friend Micki paints them – isn’t she talented?
This is a cute little rack in the kitchen. We bought it when we got married many moons ago. I have plans to replace this with a grown-up version one of these days (I even have one designed and need to see if my friend Casey can build it at a bargain price)! In the meantime I have fun tweaking regularly in this area! I love it right now. A few of my favorite things – iron, pumpkins, pottery, and cookbooks – altogether in the same space!
See what I mean on updates – aren’t these counter tops to die for? Anyway – this is a fun centerpiece at the bar. See the candy corn in the open bowl? That lasted all of a day. BBC couldn’t resist temptation so…
the candy corn had to be imprisoned in this gorgeous canister. Not so bad, eh?
I have big plans for lots of posts this week including my first giveaway! Hope to see you again, soon!

I love the little iron pumpkin!! Fall decorations are one thing I don’t have too much of. Over the last couple of years I’ve tried to hit Hobby Lobby and Michael’s up after the holidays to get good deals on clearance items : )
I also like the candy corns in the little canister! Thanks for the great ideas!

I love the tray with the iron pumpkin! I think I might have to order that at my next SLAH party! All your decorations look too cute and I am stealing your idea for bunco…the drinks in the entertaining bucket…too cute!
