Front Door Christmas Decor

You know how they say everything is bigger in Texas? Well, this isn’t Texas but my door decor sure is BIG! I have always dreamed of big red and lime green, over the top, front door decor. And look – now I have it! I bought the ornaments and ribbon last year on clearance with my Christmas money. I will be adding to that stash this year. Silks-a-Bloom – here I come (after Christmas, of course)!

Quick question: Do you think I need to paint the topiary boxes red or another color next year? I originally painted them to match the trim on my home. I appreciate your feedback!

Please, come a little closer and take a peek.

Like my wreath? I really needed to buy a new wreath this year but didn’t need to spend the money. So I took a grapevine wreath that I had on hand and wired leftover greenery garland to it. Then I added the mesh, ornament and ribbon. Simple! I think I like it better than if I had bought a new one because it has more depth to it.

A closer look at the garland. I’m going to do a quick tutorial on how I craft my garland in one of the next posts.

I love it! Rather than painting your topiary boxes, why don’t you just wrap them in some of that cellophane-ish wrapping paper?
