Saturdays with Southern Living at HOME It’s a Wonderful Life!

Welcome to this week’s edition of Southern Living at HOME. Our National Convention is coming up this week in Dallas and I am beside myself with excitement and thankfulness. Southern Living at HOME has been a major blessing in my life in so many ways.

When I first started I just wanted a way to get out of the house one night a month and spruce up the decor in my home in a cost-effective way. I wanted at least one of everything! Our catalog is gorgeous and chock full of high quality products that fit into any design style. So for the first two years I did just that – I held at least one party each month and turned my profit into products.

I always saw myself as a career gal and never really thought direct sales was my thing. When my son was almost three we realized that we needed to take him out of the daycare he was in. The waiting list was LONG at all the reputable centers in town. After lots of prayer, we believed it would be in our best interest for me to leave my corporate job and stay home with him. It was super scary but I knew I had been given a gift in Southern Living at HOME and I could increase the number of parties I was doing each month in order to supplement our income. I still had the flexibility to stay home with my son during the day and I would have something to call my own to fill that void of leaving corporate life. I increased to about 4-6 parties each month.

Last year I attended my first Convention with these beautiful ladies. They are friends that have been added to my life through this business – another wonderful and unexpected perk!

It was at Convention that I truly realized what a gift this business is. There were so many inspiring testimonies of how this business has enhanced lives. That made it easy to share with other women and begin to build a team over the past year. I have found even more joy in helping others succeed. Some members of my team are hobbyists (1-3 parties a month). Some are part-time (3-6 parties a month) and some are career (6-8+ parties a month). Some are even growing their own teams!

I am about to enter a new season in my life. My son will be starting kindergarten this fall. Our original plan was for me to re-enter corporate life. I am thankful to report that instead I will be working my Southern Living at HOME business with a goal of 8+ parties each month.

Right now (through July 31st) we have a $99 mini-starter kit and a Success Start program where new consultant can earn an additional $500 in products as well as an additional cash in their first 60 days. Plus, we are about to enter our busiest selling season. It’s a great time to try us out with little to no risk.

Zig Ziglar says “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.” May I help you take a closer look at this wonderful business to see if it is a great fit for you, too?
