Wanted: Your Opinion – Cameras

Hello! I am once again in need of your opinions out there! You all were so helpful on my last plea for help with Makeup (update of what I chose below in this post). My camera is quite old and has served its purpose. When the battery casing broke last week I knew that was my sign that it was time for a new one. I know I’m all southern fried and all but I just couldn’t go the duct tape route to keep the battery in the camera. So now I need to move on to an updated one!
I am leaning toward the Sony Cybershot pictured above. My BFF has this and I used it on our vacation. I liked the pictures and it was easy to use. The only thing she isn’t pleased with is the zoom capability.
I would love a Nikon D40 but the size is really what’s hindering me. I’m a gal of convenience so I am willing to trade some quality and functionality for size. I need something I can throw in my bag or grab and go. I’m also considering other Nikon options similar to the Cybershot. So let me have it – what camera do you use? Do you like it? Why or why not? Do you have one on your wish list? Thanks again!
UPDATE on Makeup – I decided to go with a mix of products. I went a little crazy getting started as far as price but it had been a long while since I had invested in anything and my face is something I wear everyday so that’s how I justified it all.
I decided to go with Philosophy skin care routine. There aren’t a lot of steps so I have been able to stick with it and I like the results I am seeing so far. For foundation and blush I decided to go with Bare Minerals and I must say I love it! It’s easy and I like the way it feels and looks. For eyes and lips I decided to go with Laura Mercier – I love all her secrets! Oh and for the first time ever I am using primer and love it – thanks for the tip, Elizabeth!
Thanks again for your help!

Our old camera was a Sony Cybershot and we really liked it. Just before Christmas it quit working-wouldn’t zoom right and sometimes half the picture was blurry-don’t know if that is common you might want to do a google search on it.

I got a Nikon Coolpix recently and I really like you. I’m like you with needing something I can just throw in my purse and go. Very user friendly.

    Isn’t Elizabeth great?

I love my Nikon D40 and have really gotten used to the size. It is not bad at all! I do still keep my sony cybershot in my purse for “emergencies” though. :)
