Can’t Believe It

I can’t believe that this little munchkin is starting kindergarten. It seems like just yesterday he was climbing in this planter. I’m excited because he is excited. I’m excited to have a little guilt-free time for me in my day each day (can I get a witness?)! I’m a little sad and nervous because I’m a mom.
I’m trying to be a tough girl but I had to fight back the tears at open house tonight. I told him I would probably cry and he let me know if I cried that he wouldn’t come home – ha. Then he told me not to worry because he invented a machine (imaginary, or course) that would keep me from crying while he is gone. Isn’t that precious?
I guess I will not be alone because our school is offering a Sip n’ Sob in the cafeteria tomorrow for kindergarten parents – isn’t that a hoot? It will depend on the degree of my sobbing as to whether I will join or not. Don’t want to totally embarrass myself the first day!
I know there are more serious and urgent prayer requests out there but if you think about it please whisper a little prayer for our family. Probably wouldn’t hurt to lift up all the parents, students and especially teachers (thank you for what you do)!

Hey girl! I’ll say a little prayer for you in the morning! Trachele’s school does doughnuts in the cafeteria for their K. parents! They let them go in the room and take pics, then call for them over the intercom to come to the cafeteria…so it isn’t so hard to leave! You should go…visit with some other moms! Good luck!

I will say a little prayer for you – I just went through the same thing about 2 weeks ago. I made it out without crying. I still worry about her a little -even after 2 years of preschool. Our school didn’t do anything nearly as nice as doughnuts or coffee–we just got a polite kick out the door :)

    What a cute picture!
If you cried it’s ok. That is what mamma’s do. You will both do great!
