He Is Making His Mark

I posted previously in 2009 takeaways that we should encourage our children’s creative vision. I’m going to have to revise that statement a wee bit. BBC has started making his mark around here in ways that I must nip in the bud quickly.

If you look closely at the lampshade (you can click images to increase size) it appears to have a hair on it. But when I tried to get it off I quickly realized that is 0-3 written by none other than BBC and in ink. Looks like I have a lampshade project in my near future…

Then there’s this bit of handiwork. Hey I love the distressed look as much as the next gal, but this is a bit much for my taste. I see a bedroom furniture paint job coming my way…

And this one cracks me up the most. By now you probably know of my obsession with organization. After I watched an episode of the show Hoarders I have been even more diligent in the purge portion of staying organized. Just before Christmas I got out my seasonal decor to go through the process. I have a few of these apples and have always prided myself in being able to pick out not so fake looking fakes. Well the proof is in the pudding. I guess this one looked good enough to eat! I’m assuming this was a BBC mark but I guess it could just as easily been left by DH but I’m sure he’s not telling!

There are plenty more around the house and it is giving this slightly germ-a-phobic, recovering perfectionist a run for her money. HELP! Please share any stories or suggestions you have for getting through this phase! Misery loves company!
