While I was away my boys (aka DH and BBC) decided to make a few adjustments to the decor around here…
Looks like hospitality took a hit while I was away…
Trains drawn on platters make a nice accent…
& self-portraits make for great art in my office!(BBC as a Cowboy)
When I got back, BBC was excited about school and kept asking me how long until it started. Project time! Let’s make a countdown. He wanted it to be a pattern – balloon*star*balloon*star and so on. Great idea! He cut out each shape, put them in the pattern, labeled them, and hung them above his desk in his room.
All this (except the message on the door) makes my heart happy!

Oh, how adorable! I love the school countdown!! Great job on the patterns too! You can tell him I’m impressed!
My boys at the moment, have decorated my living room with all of their stuffed animals from their room. They have also currently redecorated the play room with a giant fort that makes it so no one can walk in there but it is a “cool” fort so no one else cares. I have 3 kids and 5 daycare kids here and it’s 102 heat index outside so you can imagine the chaos of my house. Then we’ll clean it up tonight and start all over in the morning.

Okay, the “Go Away” is hysterical! How sweet your little one is counting down to school. My kids are counting down to Christmas break! HA! They don’t want to go back AT ALL!
