Do you need inspiration for your Christmas mantel? Do you think I’m crazy for even mentioning Christmas on November 7? Well, Beth over at The Stories of A to Z, started it! She is having an Impromptu Christmas Mantel Inspiration party where we link up our mantel from last year. There are already several gorgeous mantels over there to get your creative juices flowing!
I try to make a stop over at the Southern Fried home worth your while so I’m not only sharing last year’s mantel but my mantel from 2008 AND the mantel from the 2010 Willow House Convention!
Here is our den from 2009 to get a little perspective (remember you can click on my pictures to enlarge them). Isn’t it fun to look back at pictures from past holidays? The memories of Christmas morning and my little BBC came flooding back to me.
Here’s a closeup. I kept it fairly simple last year. I let the mirror make the big statement and then added a little blingy garland and our Pottery Barn stockings. I’m a big kid at heart and adore my stocking.
I love mixing ornaments, picks and ribbon this time of year. I go BIG on my front door!
Here is my Nutcracker Sweet mantel (pun intended) from 2010. As you can see this is before I got hit with the painting bug. I bet this setup would look ever better now because it would be fresh and bright. Hmmm…maybe I will need to revisit this setup this year. We will see.
Last but not least, here’s the Christmas mantel inspiration from our Willow House convention this year. Our stylists always have the best ideas. I LOVE the idea of a big wreath around the clock! I also think those boxwood stars hanging off the mantel are adorable! If you like this, there are several other great mantle inspirations in the fall catalog.

Loving all the mantels! I am gleeming inspiration as no, I won’t put up Christmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. ALTHOUGH I have already seen several Christmas trees UP and lit in my tiny town. So some folks are on the band wagon.
