Christmas Vignettes

Rhoda at Southern Hospitality is hosting a Christmas Vignette party. I haven’t gotten very far with my Christmas decor this week. However I don’t like to miss holiday parties so I thought I would draw on past vignettes for inspiration and to join the fun! Here are a few of my favorites that will probably be revamped or just reused this year.

I love this combo of items on my hallway table last year. I got a few of those Santa plates for around $3 each at TJ Maxx. I can’t wait to dust them off and find a home for them this year.

This by far was my sweetest vignette. It captures the full picture of my faith.

I LOVE this little snowman vignette. Can you believe the pedestal is made from a bowl and a plate? Cute, eh?

This is one of my favorite pieces of all times. It has been filled with red and green pears and brown metallic ornaments, too! This year I think it will be dressing up my homage to the Razorbacks – woo pig soooie!

Another nativity display. The fringed runner brings interest and elegance to the display.

I’ll wrap up with this cute table from our Ladies Ministry Christmas event last year. It was the cutest one there and it wasn’t even mine! Speaking of, our 2010 event is this Friday at 6:00 PM at Central Baptist in North Little Rock. We will meet, fellowship, and eat and then split into fun holiday classes like decorating, gift ideas, cooking, and crafts! If you are in Central Arkansas I would love to have you join me. Tickets are $5 which includes child care!

Happy vignette making!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my village….I do it with my son every year and he’s a stickler for all those little details. (he’s 9, but I swear he notices things I do in the house more than anyone..wonder if he’s going to be a designer! lol) You should drag out those village pieces and play around..you’ll quickly become addicted to finding just the right little miniature to fill an empty spot! lol
You vignettes are so sweet..I especially like the nativity in the apothecary jar, cute idea!
    Have a great week!

Very, very pretty. I especially like the cross with the creche, showing what the season is really all about. Your bowl and plate together with the cloche is gorgeous. What a smart gal you are.
    Hugs and Merry Christmas!
