Organizing, Style Ideas & GIVEAWAY!!

I just about have all my home decor bins sorted, purged, and reorganized. All that takes quite a bit of time with nothing to show (which is the goal, right?). This is an annual ritual and it is quite obsessive. Here’s a post with my home decor organizing tips from a couple of years ago.

Keeping with the organizing theme, I have been organizing and loading lots of pictures to my WillowHouseSFG Facebook Page from the Product Showcase Rooms at the Willow House Leadership Retreat. Today I loaded the Easter Party album with fun and unique ideas for Easter (or spring garden party).

I have been challenged to come up with unique style ideas for our Hawthorne Hurricane (41395). I made a trip to Savers this morning to find the materials needed to implement an idea I have in mind. I will be posting tomorrow for Willow House Wednesday.

Some of you ask where do I find my inspiration. The short answer is EVERYWHERE! More specifically, YOU and the blogosphere always have wonderful ideas that inspire me. I also draw lots of inspiration from magazines.

I thought I would marry the two and host an idea gathering and giveaway. What would you do with the Hawthorne Hurricane? Let me know in the comments section for a chance to win a subscription to one of the fabulous magazines we offer through Willow House (like Southern Living, All You, Cooking Light and others)!

Sound fun? Ready. Set. Go! ~Southern Fried Gal

p.s. There’s only one way to win – leave me a comment with an idea for our Hawthorne Hurricane. I will leave this open until Thursday at midnight then draw and announce a winner on Friday.

I like to use pine cones in January, so for now I’d fill it with different varieties. In February, I’d use a candle and conversation hearts.

I’d fill it with some heart shaped red hots and a bouquet of scrap paper love notes for my boyfriend!! (he loves mushy stuff like that…and it’s a good reminder for him to reciprocate! lol)

Oh Man! I was going to say hearts for Feb. but someone already said that! I have red sparkly hearts that I put in a huricane-
Another idea is a small fern to get ready for spring-
not a real one, but a tiny one you can get at Michaels, or a home store…My newest Pottery Barn magazine had quite a few ‘ferny’ ideas and huricanes-
Something Springy! I am ready for the snow to end here in Michigan, and I am just about ready to get out my spring stuff!!!

What a fun Giveaway!! Beautiful piece too. :) I think I’d layer it with faux moss and nice Easter eggs (not the plastic ones from Target). ;)

I would put the tiny pastel colored chocolate
Easter eggs (maybe they are called Robin’s Eggs?) in it, then put some white branches in it sticking out of the top and decorate the branches with Easter ornaments! And maybe tie a pastel or burlap ribbon on the bottom…but it might not need it.

At Christmas I would fill it with fresh cranberries, water, and some greenery. Maybe for valentines I would use the little candy hearts and tuck a smaller vase in the middle to put water and carnations or another pink or red flower. Carla
