I cannot believe the Ultimate Blog Party 2011 with 5 Minutes for Mom is already here! Actually, I’m thankful. It could not have come at a better time. This gave me the perfect opportunity to sit down this weekend and recalibrate the vision for my blog for 2011.
Who is Southern Fried Gal? Hi. My name is Carmella. I’m 38. Wife. Mom. Arkansan. Business Gal. Southern-ah. Social Media Geek. Weight watcher. Quirky. Allergic to cats, penicillin and flattery. Recovering perfectionist and people pleaser. Funny girl. Storyteller. Skeptical. Practical. Loving. Creative. Obsessive. Faithful. Learning how to say NO. Philosopher. Silly. Sometimes both at the same time.
You May Call Me JILL. One label that has followed me throughout my life – Jill of All Trades. That’s why on my blog you will find yummy recipes, simply good design inspiration, DIY projects, kid friendly projects, easy entertaining ideas and any other whim that may cross my heart.
My hope is that this blog provides inspiration to help you fall in love with your home, feel comfortable entertaining others, and inspire you to follow the whims of your own heart.
You May Call Me Crazy. I’ve struggled many years with living a balanced life. In 2011 I’m taking on more than ever with the goal of doing so with greater focus on life balance. Here are a few regular features that will help bring balance to my blogging life:
- Willow House Wednesdays – As a Director and founding Design Consultant of Willow House, I love to share ideas for our fabulous products, steals and deals, and updates on the benefits of our business opportunity.
- Time Out Tuesdays – This is a new feature that will debut this Tuesday. I’m taking Time Out every Tuesday to allow guest bloggers to share projects. I would love to feature your project or post – pitch me your idea southernfriedgal @ gmail.com. Stop back by Tuesday for a yummy Carrot Cake Cheesecake recipe from Gina.
- Southern Fried Sundays -I use this as a time for personal reflection and to share favorite photos, scripture, & what’s on my heart any given week.
