More Winter White Decor

I am still adding touches of white and green throughout my home. This is the coffee table in the living room. These glass cylinders were filled with Christmas ornaments. When I emptied them out the idea for paper whites popped into mind.

I grabbed some smooth river rocks (great filler to have on hand), bright green reindeer moss (my obsession continues), and my paper white bulbs. Are they real? No, but I think they are pretty convincing and a whole lot less messy.

Again, I love the nod to spring without getting too far ahead of winter. It adds a fun and cheery pop in this room. All of the other accessories remained the same but now the design story between the den and living room jives once again. Notice how I have the same shapes in several different sizes. I also use an odd number of containers for added interest.

To follow suit, this is what I’ve got going on in my foyer. I’m still on the hunt for a properly sized table for this area. You probably recognize most of these elements from other design projects in my home. I change out all the time yet recycle ideas as much as possible. Simply moving an object from one room to another can give it a whole new look and life. (Let’s pretend my writing is straight on my platter, ok?)

Our backyard is still covered in the cold, white stuff we got last weekend. I heard something like 48 states had snow at some point this week. How about you? Where do you stand on nature’s winter white in your area?

LOVE it!!! The bulbs look so real (and I could tolerate them more than the real ones, as I can’t abide the smell of paperwhites!). Thanks for coming by Southern Somedays, I hope you will be back. I know I will be back to visit you and all your great ideas.

I never would have guessed that your Paperwhites are faux. I like how you added the reindeer moss to the river rocks for a pop of color.
