How adorable is this wreath? Can you guess what the snowman is made from?
Flower pots! Oh how I wish this were my front door. Aren’t they precious? A friend and fellow Willow House consultant, Susan Jones, snapped these photos of her neighbor’s home. I have seen flower pot nutcrackers around my area but never adorable snow people like this.
It looks like a fairly simple project with four plastic flower pots in two different sizes (two larger for the body and two smaller for the head) painted and glued together. Then the fun part is embellishing with trinkets from around your home (ribbon, buttons, sticks, etc.). I just can’t stop looking at them. They are so stinking cute! I will need to file this on the to-do list possibly for next year.
This inspired me to update my door with a friendly neighborhood snowman. This is more my speed this year – a five minute project. It works for me and keeps with my unconventional door decor reputation.
I simply wired the metal snowman I got at a craft show to an empty frame I got on clearance at Hobby Lobby. I didn’t try to hide any tricks as to how I put it together. Then I dropped the combo from the door with a velvet ribbon snippet. Perfect!

I must admit, though, I am ready to get rid of snow stuff and move toward spring. My kids have been out of school all week due to snow and ice. Ready for warmer weather!
