AWBU 2014 Bound

awbu 2014

I’m super excited and my mind is all in a frenzy because I’m heading to AWBU today. This is the annual conference and gathering of the Arkansas Women Bloggers.  Our location this year is the beautiful Embassy Suites in Rogers, Arkansas. You know what that means? Road trip!

A road trip to God’s country (Northwest Arkansas) is fun any given day. This trip will be even more fun because I have an awesome travel buddy, Gina K. I met Gina at the first ever ARWB meetup at the Museum of Discovery  in 2010 (before AWBU was established). I felt an instant connection with her at that first meeting and our friendship has continued to grow over the years.

If you aren’t reading her blog, desperately seeking gina, do yourself a favor and start. She shares gorgeous photos, recipes, crafts and her fun-loving personality. Be sure to follow her (and me) on the usual social sites to catch some of our shenanigans this weekend. We will be using the hashtag #ARWB.

This is what I love most about being a member of the Arkansas Women Bloggers – expanding my circle of friends. I didn’t sleep much last night because I was so darn excited to meet up with old friends and make new ones. These folks help me consistently step outside my comfort zone and grow (both personally and professionally). And they are just down right fun to boot.

I will be forever grateful to Stephanie Buckley (founder of Arkansas Women Bloggers aka The Park Wife) for having the vision to gather us together. She leads us with grace and integrity. She also works her hiney off to bring us opportunities to connect – not only with each other but also with Arkansas brands to share our voices.

If you are reading this and you are also attending please be sure to find me – I want to connect with you! If you are reading this and you wish you were attending, I encourage you to join our group today and plan now to attend our next gathering. If you aren’t in Arkansas, good news! Stephanie has founded women blogger organizations in several other states.
